About ToucanPDF

ToucanPDF is a free collection of PDF tools with one rule that never bends: your files never leave your browser. Every merge, split, conversion and edit happens locally on your own device using WebAssembly and the browser’s built-in file APIs. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or seen by us.

Why it matters

Most “free” PDF sites upload your document to their servers to process it. That means your contracts, statements, IDs and private paperwork travel across the internet and sit on a machine you don’t control. ToucanPDF was built to make that unnecessary — modern browsers are powerful enough to do the work right where the file already is.

How it works

When you pick a file, it’s read into your browser’s memory, processed on your device, and handed straight back to you as a download. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools keep working.

Free, supported by ads

ToucanPDF is free to use and supported by unobtrusive ads. We don’t sell data — we can’t, because we never receive your files in the first place.
